International Conference on Advancements in Computing was successfully conducted for 4 consecutive years. The last three ICAC conferences provided platforms to present 80+ papers each from both local and international authors. These papers were presented under numerous tracks such as Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Data Analytics, Distributed Systems, Information, and Cyber Security, Information systems, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer networks and data communication, Internet of Things, Robotics & intelligent systems, and Soft Computing. IEEE Sri Lankan section provided technical sponsorship for the conferences and more than 100 participants participated in the event.
International Conference on Advancements in Computing was launched by the Faculty of Computing in 2019. The conference was held from 5th to 7th December under the theme of “Advancements in Computing”.
Professor Iain Murray, Distinguished professor attached to Faculty of Science and Engineering, Curtin University, Australia, and Prof. Sarath Kodagoda, Director attached to Faculty of Engineering & Information Technology, University of Technology Sydney, Australia joined the conference as keynote speakers to share their expertise. During the course of the conference three workshops were held on the topics; “Robot Operating Systems”, “Offensive red teaming” and “The internet of things”.
78 research papers were presented and published in IEEE Xplore at the end of 3 fruitful days.
