About ICAC
The International Conference on Advancements in Computing (ICAC 2026), organized by the Faculty of Computing at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), will be held on 9th–10th December 2026. Since its inception in 2019, ICAC has steadily evolved into one of Sri Lanka’s premier computing conferences, fostering a vibrant platform for academics, researchers, and industry professionals to exchange knowledge and showcase cutting-edge innovations. The conference has consistently received technical co-sponsorship from the IEEE Sri Lanka Section, and all accepted papers have been published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library with indexing in Scopus, ensuring strong academic visibility and global reach. With an established H-index of 16, ICAC reflects a growing impact and recognition within the international research community.
The theme for ICAC 2026, “Synergy of Minds and Machines: Computing in the Generative Age,” highlights the transformative convergence of human intelligence and advanced computational systems in addressing contemporary global and regional challenges. The conference will cover a broad spectrum of research areas, including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing and Speech Processing, Computer Vision and Image Processing, Cloud and High-Performance Computing, Cybersecurity and Privacy, Internet of Things, Embedded Systems and Robotics, Software Engineering and DevOps, as well as User Experience and Computing for Education and Digital Learning. Through these diverse tracks, ICAC 2026 aims to inspire collaboration, innovation, and impactful research in the rapidly evolving landscape of computing.
