Overview:
This workshop explores the integration of Generative AI tools across the academic research lifecycle. Participants will engage in hands-on sessions to learn how to leverage AI for literature synthesis, research design, and data visualization. The program also emphasizes the responsible and ethical application of these technologies, ensuring transparency and data ethics in AI-augmented research.
Objectives:
- Understand the evolving role of AI in academic research and its impact on future methodologies.
- Utilize GenAI tools (such as ChatGPT, Elicit, and Scite.ai) effectively for literature searches, review synthesis, and idea generation.
- Apply hands-on techniques using tools like NotebookLM and ScholarAI for research design, data interpretation, and abstract writing.
- Leverage AI-based assistants for qualitative and quantitative data analysis and result visualization.
- Evaluate and apply ethical guidelines for AI use in research, focusing on transparency, reproducibility, authorship, and data ethics.
